Bon Jasperson House
Description
The Bon Jasperson House is a 2½-storey house completed in 1903 in the late Victorian style. The property’s historical value lies in its association with Bonzano Jasperson, one of Kingsville’s leading citizens and his family. Jasperson’s business endeavours included lumber, grain, banking, canning, cigar making, property development, farming and electrical power, as well as oil and gas wells. His wife Gertrude volunteered with the Church of the Epiphany, particularly the choir of which she was leader for many years. Their son Frederick was a WWII Lieutenant Colonel, lawyer, Magistrate Judge and writer – a prominent Kingsville resident in his own right.
