Church Of England Parsonage
Description
The Church of England Parsonage is a 2-storey house constructed in 1883 in the Italianate style. The property’s historical value lies in its association with the Anglican Church whose presence in Kingsville dates to 1842. The home dates to a historically important time of growing prosperity for the congregation and village. The church rector Rev. J.W. Ashman and his family lived in the home until the arrival of Canon C. R. Matthew under whom Kingsville became its own entity in the Church, called the Church of Epiphany. The home served as the Church of Epiphany rectory until 2005.
