Davis McCay House
40 Elm Street, Kingsville Ontario N9Y 1W6
Description
The Davis McCay House is a 3-storey house constructed in 1903 and represents one of the best examples of the classic Queen Anne style in Essex County. The home’s historical value lies in its association with its original owner, Davis McCay, a local entrepreneur and member of Town council. McCay was also a carriage maker, builder and hardware store owner. The home was built by Thomas Drake, a local builder who is also responsible for many significant buildings in the area in the late 19th century.
