Just east of the cleared grounds of the Jack Miner Bird Sanctuary are the Kennedy Woods, which is home to a variety of trees and natural wildlife. Kennedy Woods is a nature photographer’s dream! The changing colours of the Maples in late October in Kennedy Woods are the most impressive in all of Essex County. Kennedy Woods also offers a great backdrop setting for wedding and special event photography. Or if you just want to take a nature hike, there is a trail through the woods along with picnic grounds and BBQ at the entrance. We encourage everyone to get out, explore, and see what the sanctuary can offer you and your family.
