Description
This cemetery is the only known African-Canadian Cemetery in the town of Kingsville. Its historical significance in its association with the Underground Railroad. In 1837, the land was purchased by John W. Williams, the first black landowner in Gosfield. He purchased the property from Reverend Richard Herrington. Herrington is believed to have been a conductor on the Underground Railroad, who also founded the local Baptist community.

35-foot by 59-foot site with fieldstone placed around its perimeter to delineate it from surrounding lands
The cemetery, and the new granite monument (erected in 2005) identifying the known burials and all remain protected
