St. George’s Lodge #41 A.F. & A.M.
Description
The St. George’s Lodge is a 2-storey building constructed in 1889 in the Italianate style. The building’s historical value lies in its association with the Fraternal society of Ancient Free and Accepted Masons. Many respected townsmen were members of St. George’s Lodge, including civic leaders, physicians and business owners. The Union Block was designed by architect John Alexander Maycock, whose work still defines Kingsville’s architectural landscape. Maycock designed such landmarks as the Church of the Epiphany and the Conklin Block on the southeast corner of Main and Division Streets.
