Will Levington Comfort House & Stone Study
Description
The Will Levington Comfort House is a 2-storey stone house constructed in 1915 in the Mission style. The Stone Study is a 1-storey stone building constructed in 1914 in the Craftsman style occupying the same lot. The property’s historical value lies in association with American author Will Levington Comfort. Comfort was a war correspondent and novelist. He was best known for his adventure novels, such as Apache. The Will Levington Comfort House is one of the only examples of Mission architecture in Kingsville. It was constructed by the Oxley Brothers.
